The Hardships of Guatemala

This is a list of some of the more struggle-some part of our adventures here

1) Running out of water and having to choose between making a cup of tea and brushing your teeth

2) Running out of water and not being able to flush your toilet

3) Trying to ask for Crayones and being handed Frijoles (beans) because of a lack of pronunciation ability.

4) Only being able to shower during 2-3 unknown hours of the day. Otherwise having to shower in super chlorinated water directly from the dirty pool right outside your window. Convenient but disgusting.

5) Being here ten days then finding out everything we were supposed to know (bleaching our fruits and vegetables before devouring) 

6) Not being told for and entire week that you always go to the right cheek for the greeting kiss...otherwise you meet in the middle. Awkward

7) Eating cereal with serving spoons because silverware is not a normal thing here.

 8) Admiring the pretty buildings only to be shot down when you learn that it is a cemetery.

 9) All our friends keep dying :(
