Because it takes so long to get pictures to load on here I am going to make this one long post. However it really should be a whole bunch of short ones since we do so many different random things in a day.
Brother Update:
Last I heard Chriso was making really good progress and showing really good signs, but nothing is certain yet. He had some feeling in his feet his torso and was able to move his arms a bit. It sounds like most of you have been able to get a hold of my family and get updates faster than I can put them up here. I heard there is a Facebook group that you can join to receive updates. I will keep letting you know as I hear more information. Thank you for all your prayers!
This is a picture my sister sent me :)
Free Time:
Hope and I often have free time in the evenings... sometimes too much free time. But no worries we have been putting it to good use by training to hike Longs Peak when we return. Luckily we brought matching work out tank tops!
This is an embarrassing photo...
Our Favorite Pass Time:
The best part about being here is the kids. They are so joyful and fun to be with. Hope and I have found repeatedly that even after a long day of when we feel too tired to pour into any more kids, the kids from the children's home brighten our day.
Ryan Camp here is your answer to the boy named Robot.
The Raid:
The team that was here from Kansas left yesterday so all of us interns went up and raided their apartment for food they left behind. We pretty much hit the jackpot and now have about 10 boxes of cereal, two boxes of leftover pizza, salt (something we have dearly missed) and a cutting board.
Here is Hope and Aaron taking inventory and trying to figure out how all this food will fit in our tiny kitchen.
Panajachel:
On saturday Pedro drove all of us interns down to Pana for the day we got some lunch, did a bit of shopping, and really just enjoyed the culture in Pana. It is kind of like Guatemala meets hippie mountain town. Pretty cool. We also got to pray for a blind guy, the first step out in street ministry which we are excited to do more of!
Translation of this man's sign: Help me please, I am blind. God bless you.
Goodbye Aaron and Jenni:
Today was Jenni and Aaron's last day. We are sad to see them go. But before they left we made a giant sunday brunch after church. It was a massive feast of banana pancakes, yogurt, eggs and black beans (Guatemalan tradition). We were also invited to dinner at the Patlan's house (Felis and Pedro Patlan own Eagle's Nest) where we ate some pretty good take out Chinese food. I had never thought about take out Chinese in Guatemala but it was a nice combination. Hailey also made peach empenadas! They were delicious and one of the simplest recipes (that is if you can read it in spanish)
All the interns: Hope, Emily, Aaron, Jenni, Hailey

I check your blog everyday for a new post haha Seeing your blog is a highlight of my day. I miss you guys. You both are hilarious and God is doing amazing things through you :) We need to skype.
